they're not exactly the same... snakeboards had two platforms connected by a metal/plastic rail thing in the middle, and both sides pivoted.the_SD_local said:Snake Board is out of business now but those are exactly the same thing. A guy that used to ride my ramp a few years back used to be pro for them like 10 years ago in the mid 90's.
I tried to ride his but it is like trying to ride a wet noodle and they are definitely nothing like snowboarding.
Snakeboard was a brand of street board not something different. The old streetboards made by Snakeboard had the metal rail connecting them but the new street boards made by other companies replaced the metal rail with a wooden center deck while still keeping the same pivoting ends and trucks. They are both still a 3 piece board with 2 pivot points over the trucks.Hep Greg said:they're not exactly the same... snakeboards had two platforms connected by a metal/plastic rail thing in the middle, and both sides pivoted.the_SD_local said:Snake Board is out of business now but those are exactly the same thing. streetboards are solid decks with bindings, and only the trucks pivot.
=P

They work and ride exactly the same because they are the same, they just look a little different that is all.
Umm... I never said those were Snake Boards in the video so you must be winning an argument with yourself.Hep Greg said:the_SD_local said:Snakeboard was a brand of street board not something different.
