Are campuses actually meant to be skate shoes?

I recently copped me a pair of second hand B&W Nike Free Run 2's for 12 bucks, thats like 10% of the RRP. I'm a size 9 or sometimes a 9.5, however these were size 8.5, worth it for 12 bucks though. Thrift game on point bruh.
