striker and ics

since in my opinion, the proto ics kits arent worth it, can i make a kit for it?
i think that the bottom of the fork has a special size for an ics cap but i dont know what it is.
if i buy an oversized starnut, a long bolt that fits in the starnut, and a washer will it work?

That would be hard to find the exact stuff, and an oversized starnut would be a bitch to find since pretty much only bike shops would have them and they are only for forktubes, so they are the diameter of a forktube. And finding a bolt with just the right thread count, length, and width would be hard too. And that would need to be a strong ass washer.
