i rode stock for a long time. then i tried out a scoot with 18s and it felt so much more natural. so i went and got set up with 18s asap. i love it.

I think for most people 18/19 is the widest you should go, or if you're tall/broad shouldered, then maybe 20's are acceptable. I don't think it should really be over or under shoulder width too much imo. But if you have wide bars and you cannot barspin with them, then that's pretty dumb. That's where the trendiness comes into play..

i beg to differ
stan rides 23s and he rode my local park doing like 5 ft high boosts with bar to bar's

13 looks normal...somehow mine are bigger than 13 tho cus of my grips...they hang off a lil but are so stiff its like bar of the bar haha. so theyre like 14 or so

I rode stock for a year and half then went to 17s, now im riding 16s and there perfect. Barspins are easier than stock for some reason with me so there alotbetter.

Stock bar width is pointless, this is the minimum width for the folding grips design, which was one of the main principles of kick scooter design. You need something that's at least close to your shoulder width, I can imagine having some wrist issues from riding narrow bars.

Stock bars suck
I hate them, turndowns and lookbacks look so ugly with stock.
And i reckon its easier to barspin with bigger bars. its way easier to catch and spin i can truck a spine with 18 but not with 13

wait... how does it differ from what I said? I believe that I said that if you have wide bars and can actually barspin them then that's perfectly acceptable. And I also think I said that if you aren't 7 ft tall like stan then you probably don't need 24's because they spread your hands way out and look stupid if you're like 4 ft tall..

i reckon go as wide as you can without loosing tricks because it makes all your tricks look better and gives you more style and control over the scooter
