The "Best of 2008" Voting????

I don't remember how it went last year but I already made the section if you guys want to start adding the topics for nominations. Take nominations for a week then make new threads for polling like top 5 nominees.

i guess i can start...i forget, are multiple nominations allowed or can you only nominate one individual person/team/vid/etc for each award?

Each person can nominate their top 3 per category then top 5 overall nominees move on to polling.

alright, i put them all up, if you guys see something i did wrong just change it i guess. i tried coming up with witty sentences but meh, i kinda gave up.

Ever since this voting thing started, i begun to dislike the whole thing. For everybody who don't look around enough (unlike Jordan & Inside Scooters for example), McKeen will stay for "best street rider" / Dan for flatland / stan for style / coedie for overall. For the next 5 years. Just like past years.

My point is: it's about time to start highlighting new riders that haven't been in the centre of the spotlight but who defenetaly deserve it.

Maybe a voting committee should be assigned instead of a democracy at the end of the year.

This year to be fair though I required video/photo proof for a lot of categories so kids just weren't clicking the biggest name.

I do see what you are saying though and it is getting boring and there are other kids that deserve a lot more recognition then they get but I also try to cover those kind of people with the Rookie and underrated and stuff like that. The more categories, the more opportunities there are for people to get recognized for their riding.

I think we need a committee to be honest.

Agree completely.
IMO, of 2008 timur was easily the best street rider, or Addy.
Both of these riders are amazing, and released upwards of two videos.
Mckeen released what? One clip and one throwaway video?
He doesn't deserve it.. Yes he was the best street rider of the year, he sure as hell didn't show it though.

Until McKeen stops riding, there is no one who will take is spot. He is too far ahead of everyone else.

From non-admins i'd nominate Balthazar, Marko (Szabo) and Graham Kimbell aswell.
