there's no facts in religion it's all hoopla and faith, why do you think every religion thinks the other religions are wrong or they don't express the same views as other religions, it's because theres no facts to back up either side, if you guys really beleive in religion and all this shit tell me why scientologists beleive that millions of years ago 7 million aliens came to earth and were thrown into volcanoes and now reap havoc on our souls. And they think christians are crazy for beleiving in jesus. If there were really straight facts and not just faith there wouldn't be all these religions there would be one religion saying the same thing. and if you can't say the bible is false, well than you can't say the qu'rran or w/e it is and all those other books are false either so you christians just keep to your faith if you want to cross into the real world you'll get owned. and i really don't want you guys to say anything stupid back to this because i'm sure seankane will be like no i got evidence from wikipedia that says jesus flew over the moon and cartoon network has my back up and i could careless if you guys are in religion for faith i respect that but don't try to bring facts into this, it just won't work out.

That is straight off the Scientology home page. Basically whatever the hell you want to believe in then believe in it for the hell of it. That is just about as worthwhile as satanism and even they believe in the Bible, God and Jesus only they chose to follow the side that is going to lose for what reason I don't know. You can't even compare the Bible to that. The Bible is a 3,000 year old history book not some alien conspiracy theory. As for the TORAH and the KORAN they all are incredible history books and share many of the same teachings and stories as the Bible. If you would take a religion studies class you would see that all the world's major (legitimate) religions share many of the same teachings. The only reason they disagree and quarrel is because politics get involved. Whatever religion has the strongest following, in turn has the most money and money equals power. The state has been using religion to control people since the beginning of time but it doesn't make it false it just means it is being taken advantage of.
I don't even know why I am posting in this thread anymore. I would be better off debating my bedroom door.

In my opinion scientology and christianity are in the same boat it's just christianity has been around longer, there's no doubt in my mind that the majority of the places in the bible are real. I had no intention of saying that jerusalem does not exist i'm just saying all the stories in between these places arn't really doing it for me. All in all I would love to beleive that the majority of things in the bible are true, I just can't I have yet to find something/someone that can convince me of this. I can beleive that there was a jesus and a muhammed(for all you muslims) because they were around and historically recorded esp. muhammed who led an islam inspired attack on the city of mecca if i do remember correctly. I just can't beleive anything else i hear about them. If it was all true then why in history books would it say there once was a man named jesus of nazareth and he supposedly was crucified and then was resurected. If that really happend it would not be supposedly, everyone would know about jesus enough people to be written down in history and not just in a bible. As I said before there wouldn't be many religions there would be just one, history. There would just be fact and that's all i'm looking for in this the fact not the faiththe_SD_local said:
