The only reason i dont ride an xt is because of the headtube angle. Tailwhips go all mongualted with it. Weight is not a problem for me

your gonna have to drill alot of holes before you notice the difference lol
but if you are desperate to loose wieght
the break is thick and madd heavy, replace that with a stock b model break, the aluminium ones if you can get hold of them are better.
drill holes near the middle of the deck, thats where it is least likely to snap.
figure out a way to take the pointless washers out the back.

You sir are clueless...
The reason why no deck snapped so far in the middle is, couse it had no holes in the middle...
Most pros snap on the dropouts, to be more specific at the brake hole couse it's the weakest spot of the deck...
Drilling holes in the middle will make it weak, and don't forgeth, you stand on the middle, most likely it's the place most pressure is applyed...so to sum it up, drill holes in the middle and you can just throw it in the garbage...

in skatebiz (store in queensland, australia) the XT's that they have in stock don't have the big spacer things at the back, they just have a plate welded on the end.

^yeah same as SHQ those ones are the new micros xts which have a 3 deggree back sweep the original ones had no backsweep and had those things at the back

The new XT has more rake for sure.. But still not as much as the pro Model. we are testing cutting the back corners off the deck and super drilling the brake.. also way lighter wheels. It's feeling pretty light. the Bars are very light as well...
