Last time I interrogated them they wouldn't directly say that they designed for lucky. Plus my friend knows the owner of lucky who says he did most of the designing.

Just because they manufacture it does NOT mean they designed it. Lucky designed it, VertX made it happen. If VertX wasn't around, Lucky would've found another place to make their parts.
