i shot with a 4mp camera for a year making prints and i never had problems cameras these days with so many megapixels is overkill in my opinion
im pretty sure its a marketing strategy for camera manufacturers for the ignorant people who think megapixels is everything
Dylan have you up-rez'd in photoshop? It's like turning your 4 megapixel pictures into however many megapixels you want.
I usually bump up my 1D files to 6~8 megapix and it works great, without losing quality, for prints up to 20x30"

anytime you upsize for prints youre just wasting time, you might not lose quality depending on the algorithm the software uses but youre not gaining quality by going up. youre better off printing the original size.

so this is really annoying.

im working on a big vid with a perfect song, and the song is 4 minutes long but when i put it in windows movie maker it says it 6 minutes long? WTF.

well, i am NOT an expert

but, hard disk camcorders are often very unreliable, like if you bump it too hard you could lose footage.
And, some hard disk camcprders record to a stange format, often not compatible with some editing software.

Please correct me if i am wrong.
