how did we all just happen to grow from a rock > noone grew from a rock, dumbass, thats not possible. most scientist are pretty sure it happened in the ocean. it was the right mix of gases and pressure that created the first incredibly small life.
how did we come from monkeys? theres this little thing called evolution, ever hear of it? random genetic mutations that are bound to happen throughout time. as they continue to happen, species change. through natural selection, the strongest survive so useless mutations and weak species are phases out.

that i understand. for me though, i still believe in heaven and hell, just not in the way the church says i should. im catholic, but i find it hard to believe when you die, if you led a shitty life youre going to burn in fire. i think your life is what you make it. if youre a good person, then basically your life will be "heaven". youll have a good life and chances are youll be pretty happy with the decisions you made. if you dont lead a good life, then chances are you wont be happy. you could have money and fame and all those material things, but in the end youll know that you were a bad person and that you cant buy happiness. so your life is whatever you want, heaven or hell, it depends on what you make it. so basically its all karma. maybe i should be a buddhist or whatever.

BUT the new testiment was written way after then old and makes Jesus out to be super humen, walking on water, turning water into wine, cureing the blind and things like that, so in genral religion has changed in time to make things more extravagent then they might have been.
exactly. although i do believe in miracles, the bible is not meant to be taken literally. do i really belive jesus fed 10,000 people with a couple fish and some loaves of bread? no... but i do understand that the story is trying to convey a point and that there is a deeper message behind it. you have to interpret (sp?) the bible. if you actually read it, you can find so many similiarities to modern culture and lessons you can apply to your life. im not trying to preach, i really dont care if people read the bible or not, i only know it from going to catholic school. all im trying to say is dont say its fake or made up when you dont even know what youre talking about.
