The Term "Web Edit"

I'm pretty sure most people realise that most videos that are out on dvd aren't shown online unless for a teaser or just releasing the dvd parts online because sales are predicted to be low after a period of time.
If the video is a part of a dvd I understand why the title has "DVD" in it. I just don't understand what the point of having "Web" in the title of the video when I already know its a video on the web because I'm watching it on the web.
