Theory about sealed headsets on scooters

Russell , that is probably happening because the nut between your bars and the headset is loose. Tighten that nut and then the headset won't shake anymore but remember , tightening too much and it will spin very slow and too little and it will shake.

i do tighten it, but as soon as it stops shaking it is heaps hard to turn cant even whip it

David , I don't think it will work on a FSA Pig. Its only for Chris King. That is only needed for Kings because it is useless for a FSA.

Russell , I think there will always be some movement. Even in my bars now there are movement.

A unsealed FSA top cup on top. a stock razor cup on the bottom=Best combination. try it...

doesnt it always come loose with only using one headset nut to tighten it?

and the bottem stock cup, do you put the FSA bearing ring in it or the FSA one?
I realy want to try this so could you please list the pros and cons. thanks

I got a sealed Cane Creek S-1 and it's hella dank, it spins fast and smooth and there's no resistance so yeah, I dunno what y'all are talking about.

i bought one too..

anyone want a ciari sealed headset?? lol

Alex , your S-1 looks nice. Hmm wait , if so many people has sealed headsets and they like it , I wonder why Dylan's King is not nice. Perhaps you fixed it wrongly Dylan? Maybe the cups are not straight or something. Do King's cups fit in the headtube perfectly or is it like FSA and has some space?

the main problem about kings is the race is so close to the cup that if your cups arent exactly perfect, it will rub same with top top dust cover
now I have it on my sr fork and its fine, so this idea really only applies to people with threaded forks
if you look closely at alexes headset youll see how the top cups dust cover has some space from the top cup this is good because it spins better I guess the people who designed chris king just made the dust cover really close to the cup so nothing could get in

I see.. How do the cups fit onto the headtube? I've noticed that FSA Pig has a little gap between the headtube and the cup but how are Chris Kings?

sweet, I was gonna get a Cane Creek headset before the threaded SR forks came out. They sound good though.

If you have a threadless headset , you should get the threadless fork. Threaded forks are only meant for stock headsets.
