Then dibble will repost it. or something.
fuck. I'm with joe, TRW needs to stay to TRW.
HAH! Alright, first of all, this is the thread that I was around for the inception of. I started the topic off ANSWERING the kids question, but left it open for further discussion/elaboration. I know Chris G, Brian, Jordan, and Steven are making inside scooters and ridewire partnered up for a new forum/website. Yeah, I don't know if they want everyone knowing about that yet, so I gave a safe amount of information. If Brian, Chris, Jordan, or Steven wanted to elaborate as to what it was, so be it. That's why I left it open instead of locking it right when I answered the question -- how was I supposed to know what would come of the rest of the thread?
You locked the thread, NOT deleted it. Once that much pointless arguing happens in a thread it's gotta go for sure. In this case I moved it to admin section just because it was clear shit that was happening was out of line for an administrator to say/do. We're discussing it now. I thought the rickroll was funny, originally. Would I have ever done that? Probably not. You gotta think of how people will take stuff, which I'm positive you did. You knew he would get mad and bitch about it, which is exactly why you did it.
Do I think you need to be removed from power? No. You're a damn good moderator on this website. However, there were 6 mods/admins in that thread at one point or another. Myself originally, Alex Steadman with "Seriously, who cares?" in the middle, and Joe Riley at the end weren't really a part of the discussion. The only thing is if I was Joe, I would've deleted or moved the thread right away (Rob did lock it in the next post.) But I think that you, Rob, did the most shit stirring in the thread. You seem to have personal beef with Brian or whoever banned you from TRW. I think most of the stuff you said in the thread was directed personally at Brian or Matt Stevenson, none of which adding to the topic. YES I know that threads don't always stay on topic, but with that type of sensitive material (in this case, your differences with Brian), you really should keep it off the forums and in PM or e-mail.
Brock, there is less to say to you. I think that most times your image posting can be hilarious. You always find the right stuff at the right times. There is a time and place though, and anything you think might be fueling an argument just try to stay away from. I think you were less out of line in the thread but definitely not helping the situation.
When finally the second thread was made, I was 100% for it. They had information pertaining to scooters, posting it in general discussion. I have no problem with that. Their last thread turned to ----- so in order to still get the message of the thread across, he created a new thread. Matt Stevenson wrote "I'm excited" and you banned him for 4 months, "One month for every letter in 'twat,' which you think I am." YOU CANNOT give a single fuck about what any user thinks about you. If his signature says "Rob is a twat." and you don't want it there anymore, PM him telling him WHY you're removing it, or tell one of the other mods/admins to do so. That's not a big deal. Yes, it is annoying, but easily fix-able. If after that he continues to put things like that in his signature, banning commences. Starting with 1 week. Not 1 month, not 4 months, 1 week. You've definitely abused your banning powers in that sense.
So, in other words, you simply cannot be mad at me for calling you out on that. Playing the "hero" and saying "I locked the bad thread and banned a user for a repost!!" isn't really helping anything. Keep your personal vendettas off SR. You do an awesome job on every other level of moderating besides dealing with Brian Boston/TRW.
Btw, he PM'd me bitching about you just now, I'm going to send him a novel of a PM in return. Both of you guys are gonna keep your shit off SR. You can dislike each other all you want, but I'm telling him straight up to stop purposefully giving you shit on here, and the same goes for you. Editing his signature, like I said I originally thought was funny, I wouldn't do. Either should you.
