ok i found a way to make a dirt scooter using my old a but i just have 1 problem. also i cant do this w/ the lack of a scooter im willin to mess up or a fork. ill be buy the fork from my friend. but i i put a 20in bmx fork and tire do u think that i could get full rotation? i will be getting the scoot i will be using for my dads and ive got the back figured out but not the front 100%, i also might try a 24in mtb fork cus it has shocks.

Hey smarty, are you going to sit like on the deck or something. because the center of gravity is going to be mad high, and you wont be pushing it, you'll be up to far.

there will be a 20in tire in the back and 20 in the front. i have the back figured out fine, but the front im not sure if it will work

That wouldnt work. theres no way you could push. and a 26 inch fork would make it even worse because the front end would be 26 inches off the ground + the stroke of the shock. which would mean the front end would be 28 inches off the ground and the back wheel wopuld only be a 20inch wheel so the scooter would be leaning so far back.

And josh wins. your to high to push.
Not going to work.

well i also have a 20in fork that i can put on the front and either way im going to be using 20" wheels, cus thats all i have. and its not a 26" mtb fork its a 24", jst to let u know. but i might try it this weekend if i have some time to kill and find a few bolts i can use.

to sam sheilds: im not disagreeing with you, it would be too high, but 26in. tire = 13in. high plus fork. not 26.
Maybe on a bike it is that way, but on a scooter the deck is basically (just to simplify things) where the bottom cup of the headset is. So that's the whole 20/24/28 inches from the ground to the deck. Plus the fork would most likely hit the neck of the headtube. I don't see it working, but try it anyway I guess. I'm just saying I guess.

Nah b. it would be 26 inches off the ground. cause the wheel is 26 inches. its 13 inches to the axle, not to the headtube.

well if i have 2 i might be able to extend the headtube in the future, but i have the back i have figured out 99.9% as long the fork fits were i want it. so ill at least get pics of that hopefully fri or sat

no it wont be as high, durrrrrrrrrrrrr. i would be like standing on the bottom braket. and i will just be running and jumping on to get me speed if i have to, because all my jumps r on a slight down hill

you can get these scooters from kmart that are like old a's but with blow up wheels that are about 120mm. i think the brand is "no fear".
