Starting this month I am going to be making a video edit at the end of March compiling clips of some of the best videos released during this month. I am unsure to whether I will be doing this every month but we will see how this month turns out... Also, I am going to try and feature a song released during that month(that might be thought tho). Help is GREATLY appreciated. Whether its with the song, or suggesting some clips for me to feature. I will be directly downloading the videos from youtube or vimeo and I have no idea if that will kill the quality or not but i'm hoping it wont.

I just wanted some opinions, maybe help and to make sure everybody is down with the idea.

I will be bookmarking a video whenever I see one that I thought I like and at the end of the month will work on downloading all of them and editing together.

One more thing I need help with. Does anybody know of a program that can cut a video file into certain segments. Because if I want one clip out of a 4 minute video I do not want to go through uploading the whole 4 minute video to iMovie because that will waste quite a lot of my time.(mac-compatible would be nice but I might be able to deal with windows)

and again any ideas from the community are supported

dudee ill totally try and help get a lil vid that might have some clips you like but probs wont have anything good enough lol but yea its like -15 here and supposed to be cold for awhile but ill try my best to get a few clips that might be good enough

That'd be nice. but you don't have to try and just get clips for the project. I'm going to be taking clips of videos that are released. But ride on and release videos and we will see if they make the cut;]

okayy well ill try putting together a lil vid then and see how it turns out

Good idea, but don't force the video out every month if no-one posts anything impressive(e.g. don't do it just for the sake of a video a month).

Yeah. Good point. I'm really gonna try to take like legit and impressive clips. and i'm trying to think if a certain rider releases a totally sick as mini vid how many clips max i should take...

yeah i'm gonna asses that problem at the end of the month depending on which footy gets released. also I will not be posting clips on winning COTW

It MIGHT be a good idea, but you must ask permission from people to use their footage.

No. You can watch it, but you cannot distribute it without a permission. Same with newspaper articles aswell. You cannot copy-paste the exact text from one newspaper webpage to another without asking the author for his/her permission.

GREAT idea dude, but yea, like Madis said make sure people let you use their footy first(I don't know why they wouldn't let you?) but just to be safe. Good luck with it.

Just the ones that make you go "wow". And if it's big enough people will give you permission to use their clips. (Of course you should ask first whether the copyright laws say so or not, it's only polite).
