threadless headsets

okay i know i know theres like 200 brazillian threads on this but i looked at alot of them and the dont answer my question. ok well a few days ago i bought a threaded headset and i cracked it today dont ask me how i just did. well i took it in he said hed give me a free one and no instalation charge and i was wondering when running a threadless headset on a threaded fork do you7 need an ics or just clamps? and what threadless headset should i get im looking at a cane creek an aheadset or fsa pig so yeah basically the question is do i need an ics when running a threadless headset on a threaded fork?

No compression system required, just use that large nut that came with the original headset and you're good.

FSA pig / Cane creek are good.

No compression needed on anything threaded.

the lock ring is still a form of compression lol
