Threshold cut out

there's prob a threads discussing this but ive looked and i cant find any.

Does cutting out the middle part of your thresh actually make any sorta noticeable difference to the weight or feel of the deck? Ive cut my 22s dropouts, felt nice af but i couldn't resist that peg life so now its heavier then ever. Im not a weight weenie but ive just noticed i never feel like doing lots of whips and stuff with so much weight.

Also whatd be the best way to go about it? would drilling two large holes on each end then using a angle grinder work?

don't cut the middle lol Alfies feel shitty with the middle cut out your feet like dig into it and it won't make you whip better anyway. You're hella good at whips anyway I don't know what your problem with them is

dylan kasson did this. be very weary of using an anlge grinder, they have a tendancy to wander and could wreck your deck. i tried cutting holes in my snapped districk v2i just to see what it was like, it is really hard to get a clean cut, with the angle grinder i have anyway. imo speed holes are a much better alternative, you can join the dots anyway and get a similar cut as what you would with an angle grinder in fact it is more acurate.

speed hole tutorial i made a while back (watch it in x2 speed if you like)

Easy with a cut off wheel an an air compressor and a angle grinder with a sanding bit on it I've done 2 of them both came out nice espically Zach poons old thresh I did. For the angle I used a nickel to get the shape them cut it and then ground down to match the angle.

Consider side cut outs. Just drill some 8mm holes and cut in between with an angle grinder.

Sorry for the bump but yes that would be super sick a cut out in the middle. But if you want a light and long deck, sell your thresh to a little kid for like 200 and throw in something shitty like a spent wheel and buy a pandemonium. I heard with pegs the are secks
