No they dont have a threaded insert, the inside of the fork has threads machined into it. And yes they are all one piece.

I have these forks they run so nice with my setup. However the steerer tube seems sort of short and did not even reach my top cap in my SCS. But turns out I got the MGP short fit on accident for my district. I told ECX and they replaced it! I love ECX

from my experiences, its not so good to use these forks if you ride HIC bars taller than like 21-22". but i really like them, they're perfect if you use them with a tilt SCS as well.
