Titanium bars?

How would 19 x 18 titanium bars hold up?
I hear alot about titanium being the strongest and most expensive but is it really going to be as strong as everyone makes it sound?

Please share some thoughts

Cheers.

Yeah, they have like two frames made from Ti for bikes, and no one has them. They aren't good for racing because they flex so much, and they aren't good for street/park because they flex and break. So it would just be a waste of money. You'd be better off getting some thick aluminum bars, or maybe look into getting tapered 4130 or getting it heat treated.

In its unalloyed condition, titanium is as strong as steel, but 45% lighter.

Titanium is 60% heavier than aluminum, but more than twice as strong as the most commonly used 6061-T6 aluminum alloy.

and yes, titanium flexes... a lot.

ti sucks its so heavy by steel. scooter flips are gay

You dont have Ti bars, Ti is not heavier then steel, dont post if you dont know what your talking about or have anything logical to say.

Ti is not lighter then aluminum, its just stronger so they can use less of it, which makes it ligher. Ti has about the same breaking point as steel, but it is SOFT METAL. Therefore instead of snaping, it will just flex a TON, then start to bend a TON before it breaks. It costs a lot and is hard to weld which also costs a a lot to get it welded. Ti is not a good material for bars, just stick with 4130 chromoly or a high grade, thick walled aluminum.
