what makes the tsi felx fender better? Like a blade brake is a lot thicker and heavier duty. Less prone to bending, morphing, or get screwed up due to heat from friction of the brake and wheel. The tsi flex looks thin, but i guess itd be sooooo much more solid. What makes it strong though? Is it heat treated like the tsi deck?

you also mentioned about getting a flex fender when i said my brake gets faulty and stops with the slightest tap. What qualities does a flex fender have to stop this?

im pretty sure a flex fender is heat treated. it is alu so it still bends. and when its heat treated, i believe it is heat treated after bending it to be an actually brake. when its heat treated the alu chemics or w.e stays at that shape. and because it is still flex able, a small amount of force when flexed will cause it to snap back to its original state..

im prolly wrong. and i am tired..

ya^ its not heat treated its just a bent peice of metal^. BUT THE THING IS IS THAT TSI DOES THIS CUZ U DONT NEED HOLES FOR A BRAKE BOLT IN THE SIDES OF THE DECK WHICH MAKES IT STRONGER SO IF YOU PUT IT ON A PRO MODEL YOU JUST WONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE SPRING BUT THE BREAK HOLES ARE ALREADY THERE SO ITS NOT GONNA MAKE IT STRONGER IN ANY WAY.

they are just a formed piece of aluminum, they are quiet and smooth and work verry well, but they are not perfect, I am reseaching different alloys and metals, when i have it pefected they sould last for a long time,

The TSI FlexFender is a simple and easy way to make a brake without compromising the drop outs. That's right. There are no holes in the drop outs so that weak point is somewhat eliminated. However the FlexFender is not the strongest brake out there. I have had my single bolt flexy on my perforated 4.5 deck plate and the fender and deck plate have seen THREE DIFFERENT FRAMES NOW! I snapped my first frame in the same place as everyone else's. I then had a non-reinforced frame before I got my new reinforced frame. This is the 7th generation frame that we've come up with now.

My Single-bolt FlexFender is just dandy. I've been ripping on it for more then a month now. Sure I had to re-bend it a few times to make it straight again, but It's all good now. I also had to sand the bottom side so it was smooth again after bombing a hill. The FlexFender is still going strong! still No cracks* yet!

I've never seen a TSI brake on a Pro Model deck. But I have seen the exact opposite done. Dylan Kasson's TSI brake snapped after he got it. So he drilled the drop outs and put on a Blade Brake. In my opinion looked a sh!t ton better than the TSI brake. I think the brakes look like poop. It's a cool idea, just don't trust aluminum flexing back and forth...

The thing is, with the bolt on brake it can be ANY material.

You guys should just do some regular steel brake for now imo. But for how cheap you can get a replacement who cares...
