Tsi threshold with fsa headset problem

Ok so I got a tsi threshold deck with an fsa integrated headset and the top bearing won't go all the way in? I don't know if it supposed to be like that but my aos deck did the same thing with it's integrated headset. It worked fine but I just thought that the bearing was supposed to go all the way in. I tried hammering it in but it wouldn't go all the way. So is it supposed to be like that or not?

My friend has the exact problem. Take it out and hammer it in straight. And put aplank of wood between the hammer and bearing when you do it. Ps: its meant to stick iut 1-2 mm

Ok thanks guys but one more question about the headset crown race. Ok well my dad had to help me hammer it on to my smx fork and we used a flathead screwdriver to get it on. When he was finished I noticed that there was some dents in the crown race where the screwdriver hit it. The dents are where the bearing sits and there not huge but it does have some dents in it. So I have another crown race should put the other one on or just leave the one that's all ready on there. And if I leave it on there will the dents mess up my bearing or will it be fine.

Leave it.

And i wouldn't advise hitting your bearings in, i broke someones brand new blunt headset doing that hahahahahaha.

whenever i put in integrated headsets, they will usually just pop in with the pressure of my palm

you have to tap around the bearing in circles, until it goes all the way in. the bottom one will go all the way in when you compress your headset. the top one sticks out to leave space for the dust cover on your headset.

what i do is put them in as far as they will go
slide my fork on and tighten my compression
then the bearings should be pressed in. so tighten your compression more.
