t tubes dont work at all...they just bend and let the fork snap =(

shit, that's a really good idea! props man.

and starnuts come with headsets I believe. If it's too small to fit in your bars, then take a piece of a forktube, or a tube that's exactly the same in terms of id and od, and hammer the starnut into that, then slide it into your bars and weld it/secure it inside well, but make sure the forks can go on without hitting that pipe. then when you tighten the bolt the tube will lock against the top of the forktube because they're the same dimensions, and the starnut will be inside the tube and it will . You could use an oversized bolt (dunno where you'd get that) or a threaded rod that either fits the threads in the starnut, or you could get a threaded rod that fits through the starnut, and weld a nut onto the starnut on top.

thats what i tried to do before when i though stock forks were aluminium, i made all the legs and stuff out of alu and then went to get it welded, and was told the threaded fork column was steel. :(

but that looks sick man!
