using 6082 aluminium instead of 6061?

an article http://www.azom.com/article.aspx?ArticleID=2813 says that 6082 is the strongest aluminium of the 6000 types of alu so could it not replace 6061 in the scooter industry???

Yes 6082 could definitely replace 6061 for scooter decks and the like, i think that 6061 is just so much more common (and cheaper) for now. So i don't see them switching any time soon.

yea, swish a legit company in the uk use it for their forks, pegs and other stuff. I have their threadless fork 0 offset in anodized blue and it is real nice i think. the really stupid thing is i got it in a sale for cheaper than any other threadless fork in the uk (£30) when a smx is £65 around here AND it has lifetime warranty.
