so i was out taking pictures and then all of a sudden i go to review a picture on my 30d and the lcd screen is just completely white
i thought it was because i accidentally hit something and overexposed the picture rediculously so i take some more pictures and theyre all white
so i hit the menu button and the white screen pops up its just solid white
so my lcd is fucked i cant see anything at all
i guess im not selling my 30d anymore haha
i looked into it and i guess this is a problem with other people that have 30ds
so guys, watch out
it doesnt bother me too much because i have a 1d in the mail but ill use my 30d as a back up
my main question is does anybody know if there is a cable to hook the 30d to a ipod video so i can just review my pictures on there? would it go in the headphone or charger port?
i tried google but i couldnt really find anything
ive seen people hook up portable dvd players to canons just with the regular video cables that come with the camera, but not ipods
help would be VERY appreciated
thanks

I got myself banned.
I wouldn't count on being able to do it with an ipod... i've never saw anyone play video onto an ipod screen via cable...

From what ive read you cant use it as a direct lcd, but you can use it to transfer your photos to it to store and then preview them. (as long as they are not RAW) But they say its horribly slow to transfer, so you would be better off just snapping a bunch of pics and checking them at home. And everyone says to stay away from it because it will drain your iPod battery really fast and you have the risk of file corruption.

So I guess the answer is no from what ive read..someone else might know otherwise though..

if your using ettl wirelessly, if you properly expose the image, the flash will automatically set itself.
or just get a sekonic l308 or l358 (358 if you ever plan on using PW's)

you could, but you'd need some knowledge in the areas of hacking electronics, making things and electronic engineering. you would end up having to sacrifice your ipod and possibly wreck ur camera. you would most likely have to take both items apart. it would be better to just have canon fix ur camera, they might do it free.
