The HIC is good, but there's one major turnoff and that's compatibility.Jordan said:out of all the comp systems i've seen, i think i'd like the rad HIC the best. scs is too big/bulky for me, vnc hd is just kinda ugly, inverted just seems too complicated/difficult to install.
only tradeoff of HIC is that you have to have bigger bars.

But I use HIC with RAD OG's and I don't plan on changing to anything else anytime soon. Its super easy and Its free with their bars.
In fact I just ordered crowbars because Im sticking with HIC.

Yeah, only rad sells oversized one pieces, other than that there are buffs. This means unless Proto/Inward/FrID/ other companies make more oversized bars (which means stronger steer tubes... which is good) It's not nearly as compatible as the SCS.
edit: didn't see conor's post before i hit add reply.. lawl
but yeah, everything he said.

You need 1.25" ID bars for the HIC to work, and since the biggest clamps they make are 1.375", you have two EXACT dimensions that you must meet.
They have to be 1.25" ID and 1.375" OD, which means no aluminum steering column, no lighter and cheaper 1.25" OD chromoly steering columns and a lot more.
Aside from that, I like it a lot.
It's light, it's strong, it's simple, and cheap, but the compatibility issue is enough to turn me off.
um the rad one is just as strong cuz its doubleing the thickness with the shim...ih_rida said:scs is the strongest
