new vid
im fairly certain the reason for the audio/video cutouts were because i was using a tape that i also used in my trv950. which means i had mixed the lubricants from the different heads (haha), which isnt exaclty good. Plus the next time we filmed, i used a different tape and it worked fine, also this was technically the first time i used my vx1000 soooo the filming wasnt thaaaaaat great haha.

feeback would be nice :)

Hmm... that's weird, my gl1 never glitches out like that...

Lol joking aside though, I feel like some of the angles were a bit high and there was something about the way you moved the camera, more specifically on that down rail but it was in a couple other places, that made the rider look slower than he could have been. I feel like making a rider seem like he's going a bit faster than he actually is vital if you want to start taking filming seriously. There's probably some tutorial out on the internet or something about it but it'll just take practice.

the vx1000 is the best and the worst at the same time. the footage and audio turns out 100x better than any other sd camera, but the camera itself actually has the most problems (my opinion, not exactly factual). this was the first time i had used it so the filming wasnt exactly perfect (and of course the video/audio cutouts), and i totally agree with you about the filming being a little high on the downrail. Also your gl1 will always suck ;), and tutorials about filming on the internet never work... its all about developing your own style of filming (in my opinion haha).

link me to a video of yours!

Yea, most tutorials kind of suck haha but that why I said it'll just take practice. I'm actually working on a vid right now but I might be able to just throw a couple clips together and show you if you want.

Yea, we could all use practice when it comes to filming, we're never as good as we think we are haha. I'm not even going to deny that I still have some screws to tighten up with my filming.
