Way to stop people from viewing forums?

Is there a way you can block access to the forums altogether if you aren't logged in? I know now you can't post if you aren't logged in but you can still view. I think it should be made so you have to log in to view the forums, that way if someone gets banned they can't just view the forums and not post. It would be an attempt to actually make them lose the forum for the time they are banned.

Good/bad idea?

Slightly bad idea. That wouldn't solve anything really. They could just use a proxy and/or go to a different internet connection to create another account. And it's good to keep the forum public. A lot of forums I don't bother joining because I don't want to take the time to sign up, just to see if it's cool or not, you know what I mean?

Yes, there is a way to change it. No, I'm not going to. Some people out there who may be into the sport but not into computers aren't going to take the time to make an account but they should still have the right to view the forums.

yep. a lot of times when i'm at someones house i'll check SR for new vids, i don't wanna bother having to log in just to see new videos. useful in school too.

when i first saw sr, i viewed the forums for like a week straight before i actually made an account. it really made me get into the sport more, and im sure it would do the same for other people
