every time ive fallen and hit my head i wasnt wearing a helmet. lucky for me i always wear a beanie and many a time it has saved me from being knocked out. i only wear a helmet if im trying a new flair or flip combo

First of all, i wear my helmet almost all the time. i sometimes don't wear it when i'm riding my ramp when i'm barely even trying, but that's just because it's MY ramp and i'm completely used to it. But it really ticks me off when people try to make fun of me for wearing my helmet when i ride all the time, but then i click this thread and everyone is like "oh yeah helmets are great<33333" when you guys probably don't even wear helmets, you just want to seem cool "fitting in". But really listen to spicy here, even though it may look kindaa n00by it's worth it. And to all the people who say wearing helmets isn't comfy.... get a Tripple8.

Edit: 2 days ago I tried a backflip out of this ramp that had like a 1/2 foot of vert and i ended up doing a flip than clipping my feet on the coping and doing ANOTHER flip WITHOUT my scooter landing straight to my head and belly flopped the rest... If i wasn't wearing my helmet I probb would've had a concussion and some injuries.. think about it.

You all need to shut the fuck up about calling people stupid and idiots for not wearing helmets, do what you want.

I have had my fair share of concussions and brain injuries but I still don't wear a helmet because I feel that if I am going to die it will be my time AND THATS MY PERSONAL OPINION, you guys can wear them all you want and for what reasons you want and they probably do help you out or add some confidence or something but can you please stop calling people idiots for not wearing them? Its just become a hate on people who don't find them comfortable or useful thread and that is kinda annoying. I realize that a fair amount of people have died from head injuries, but remember that at a certain point helmets stop nothing and you will still end up in the hospital, and they don't break the impact to your neck, which can lead to a broken neck if hit from the right angle.

We all have our reasons to wear them or not wear them but seriously stop the useless hate on those who choose not to.

This is one of the few intelligent posts that I will be making this month so take your time and read it

I feel like wearing a helmet while riding street kind of voids riding street in the first place. To me, the point of riding street is to do big/huge DANGEROUS things that you could get hurt doing but you don't. Wearing a helmet makes it a lot safer, and makes it look a lot less dangerous. My opinion, but whatever.

I wear my helmet when I have to, and when I'm not confident about something. I've fallen on my head while wearing a helmet and still have gotten pretty fucked up, but I know I would've been a lot worse without it on.
