Welding on reinforcements, any insight?

Well I was thinking of ways a deck breaks, and the order it goes in. Usually it happens like this: The dropouts break, then the folding mech rips off, then the top of the deck splits from the sides near then folding mech and so on. Well I can solve two of those, except the deck splitting. Reinforcements stop the dropouts from cracking/breaking. Re-welding the folding mech all around it prevents it from ripping off the deck. However, there wasn't an easy solution to stop the deck from splitting. So I was thinking that instead of bolting reinforcements on, just welding square tubing to the sides. I would cut out holes on one side so it would go over the two screws in the front and over the break bolt. I'm just wondering if that would make anything weaker or something along those lines. I'm trying to make a promodel last LONG, like 1 year long. So any insight would help.

thats a good idea, the reinforcing is going to have to be aluminum tho, but it should last alot longer

why cant you just bolt the reinforcements to the plate things under the foldy?
Oh shit your right. I completely forgot that the plate was attached to the foldy. So is it basically impossible for the deck to split with reinforcements?

i guess its still not as strong as it could/should be, but ripping it apart would be pretty hard to do.

welding makes it stronger, my pro comp model is welded on bottom & ive tryed crack & bend it with out luck

trick is not weld it completely like new micro xt the corners stress to easy, just a few joins, & when they grind down weld bit more on

images below are of my scooter razor pro comp model from scooter zone with extra mods

unless he drills through the reinforcements.
Kinda defeats welding the reinforcements on, though.

i couldn't ever do this, i always break brakes/brake bolts
