yes. as long as its 1 3/8 tubing with .065" wall thickness. but id suggest aliminum for the shim. sticks better

I know a lot about welding cromoly. #1 you need a tig welder. #2 you need 4130 cromoly welding rods. #3 for welding cromoly, you will get BEST results with a DC welder, but you WILL be PERFECTLY fine with an AC. thats some of what I know. hope it helps.

Ive made tapered hic bars from scratch. 1 3/8 inch tube with 0.065 wall will not slide over a 1 1/4 tube.
