no point in "quitting". i don't think i'm gonna quit riding ever. i'll definately slow down as i get older, but i'm not gonna quit.. and neither should you. ride as long as you're able to.

never quit.

keep riding as long as your body lets you, nothing is like riding. for me anyway.

you might have to slow down once you get into college, but quitting is for losers.
fuck yea man, thats what its all about.

you can all say you'll keep riding as long as you want, but for the vast majority of you its just not true. when you get older, your priorities change.

personally, i didn't actually quit. i just only ride once or twice every 3 months.

i'm a 20 yr old in philadelphia, in my 3rd year of college majoring in mechanical engineering, i live in a house with 7 other guys and i've got awesome friends.

so really, riding a scooter is pretty low on my level of priorities since i've got so much other shit going on my life. but that doesn't mean i quit.

gregs got the right idea in that saying you "quit" is a big step. i still like riding my scooter, and i'm still not bad at it, but i just dont have the motivation to ride 3 hours a day everyday like i did 6 years ago.

just because you get older and have a busy life/job doesn't mean you cant scooter. people play other sports when they are older so why cant we keep scootering? maybe you wont be able to ride as much or as hard, but you can still ride. think about all the adults who have jobs and familys but still play golf or tennis. im not saying your gonna ride when your like 75, but you can probably keep riding for a while past college.

Well like I said somewhere already, I never said I flatout quit because I know that somewhere down the rode theres gonna be a big sesh and Ill join in. So ill be riding once or twice every couple months most likely but I dont have the desire to do anymore than that.

You shouldn't plan to quit. Just ride until you don't feel like it anymore. If you don't have time to ride, take a break. But if you enjoy riding, there's no reason to quit because "you're getting old".

Here's my thoughts...
People don't HAVE TO ride something else when they quit riding scooters.
Everyone i say i quit to says "Oh, so what are you going to ride now...?" My response is ALWAYS, "Why the hell do i have to ride something else because i quit scooters?"

Back on topic -
I was always 'planning' on quitting, because scooters were just so boring and i didn't like riding anymore. But i didn't really have anything to do on weekends and stuff. Until about 2 months ago anyway, and i found this amazing girl <3, so now i have something to 'do' on weekends, and school + work pretty much rules my weekdays.
So yeah, my life is full and scooters just don't appeal to me anymore, who's to say i won't pick it back up in a few months and say "What the hell?, i'll just go to the park for an hour", then get back into it from there.
But for now, i've quit for good, and don't plan on riding once every month or anything like that.
