Im gonna let you in on a little secret. I am in my second year of college, majoring in aviation technolgy, living in my own apartment and covering all expenses, and I have more free time to scooter then I ever did in high school. Plus it is an awesome way to quickly get to your classes on campus. Every couple of days someone says to me "I gotta get one of those!". And plus, later in life, when you have a kid, and said kid pulls your old pro model out from wherever it was collecting dust and says "Dad, whats this! It looks cool!" well then...it looks liek your gonna have to introduce your kid to the long-lost art of scootering (or who knows, it could be bigger then skateboarding when that time comes around)

Point is, you shouldnt set a limit or cutoff to your interests or hobbies. If you enjoy them, then do them to your hearts content. Trust me, when the world starts throwing work and the future and relationships at you, youll need all the outlets you can get. Thats just my opinoin on the matter.

Truth.

nutttin personal but why do you still come here then.

I quit like 2 weeks ago now .
I still like to watch videos and read all the stuff going on in the 'world of scootering'
No rule says i can't still be here, so i'll continue being here, sorry for the inconvenience :)

did u quit for attention. i cant quite grasp why you are 'quitting'... there is no unfair coach, youre not NOT getting game time lol, you can do it whenever you want.once a year would still be NOT quitting. you're saying u LITERALLY dont pick it up, and mess around or even touch your scooter, ever.

Super queer.
It doesnt matter. If your having fun your having fun. Scooter till you lose interest or just physically cant anymore. If your gonna base your riding time on how old you are. Quit now. lol cause thats not gonna get you anywhere.

No, why the hell would i quit for attention?
If i wanted attention i would've posted stupid shiit throughout the forum like a noob.
I found scooters boring for about the past 3 months now, and i thought, i'm halfway through mini 2, i'll keep riding and filming, release the video, then quit.
If i still found scooters fun..i wouldn't have even thought of quitting, so no i'm not doing it for attention, i'm doing it purely for the fact that, i had a good run with them, and now i seriously lack interest, so there isn't any point me going to a skatepark to sit around being bored.
My scooter is in pieces, and thats how i plan it to stay until i make a cruiser, which technically won't be 'riding' as such, as it will be used purely for transport.

just out of curiosity, if you're bored NOW, what would be the point in "finishing a mini vid?" why torture yourself. lol

Haha.
I was more taking photos which is exciting for me, and then going hmm, i think i'll try this trick, film it, then take photos again.
So i haven't really been riding lately, just thinking of things to film, doing it then, then stopping again :)

man i hope sometime in the future we would be able to make a living off of scootering
Im happy just riding now.

If we got big it just means more comps/scooter parts/events, and respect from other sports.

but keep in mind, we dont need any of that to just go out and have fun riding.

Its still a good thing if it happened, but even then it still involves the only important part... riding/fun, and you dont need all that shit to do that.

BTW. I am a sophomore in college also, i ride as often as i can because to me its just fucking amazing to just ride.

I'm 18, graduated a year ago, have my own apartment with my girlfriend and two dogs and a nice job. i scooter for fun with my friend in my free time. Scootering is not my main thing to do, just fun free time.

thats what i want!

i dont reckon you should have to quit so you can get a job and start making a living, scooter riding should be a hobbie that you do for fun when u reach the age of probably 16-18. that just my opinion so yeah...

honestly, if you have a specific point at which you're going to quit riding, you might as well quit right now. if you're not dedicated enough to just ride and have fun and if you've got a specific point at which you KNOW you're going to quit, then don't even bother riding a scooter at all.
