Saw Hunter Bechtle's ZG deck in two pieces due to a stripped bolt. But it gave me an opportunity to analyze it. It's lighter than it looks, but is also more expensive than it looks.

I don't get how it stripped, it's just in there so good. If you covered up the obvious bolt, I would never have known it was bolted at all. Plus my deck is on its 8th month now! I can honestly say that having a CNC'd no welds headtube is a bit much since the regular one is already crazy strong. I can't even imagine how much the cnc'd one would hold up to.
And Rob, come on lol. It's twenty bucks more than an integrated Phoenix. Those are way more overpriced. What's more expensive, CNCing a deck or extruding one?

When hunters broke he was and is the only one who ever stripped a bolt like that. We think its a defect in that particuler deck because no one else has ever stripped one like that.
