What is the best curb grind wax I can purchase?

I bought some from a local sports store, and it doesn't really seem to work all that well...I've used World Industry "Wet Willy" wax before, and it worked alright I guess.

Any specific brand I should be looking for?

just buy candles.... you dont need special wax. as long as you wax the shit out of something, it'l slide. hell, even melting crayons into a giant block will work.

easiest way to make wax:

fill a pot 1/4 with water, then put a smaller pot in it.
fill the smaller pot with candles, and crayons without the wrappers.

put the whole thing on your stove, and boil the bottom pot with the smaller pot inside of it. once the wax is all liquefied and melted, turn the stove off. let it sit until the wax is solidified. knock the bottom of the smaller pot to get the wax out. stick the wax in the freezer for a few minutes.

BAM! big ass chunk of cheap wax.

go to any hardware store and buy a box of general purpose paraffin wax. its super cheap and works super well. cheaper than candles. also, if you really need to make the ledge slide like a rail, put a little oil/grease on there

I got myself banned.
I just goto the dollar store and get a big ass candle for a dollar. I wouldn't grind curbs though, even if their painted. It just eats your deck apart.

get a masonite sanding block and sand down the ledge before you wax it so its perfectly smooth
then wax it up and it should slide real nice

wtf??..why would you wanna grind a curb?..if you want to so bad then go to the local store or something and they have painted curbs and they grind easily

Yeah I always just use candles from my friend's house. Then if you get bored you can let the wax drip on your hand and make yourself into Johnny Tremain

its not so much curbs, but ledges that i grind. i rode my bike to a few of the ledges i rode before it snowed, looks like i'll have to do some serious waxing :(

i think i might do the pot of crayons thing, but first i need crayons haha.
