I would personally go with the razor ultra pro black label. It's light, strong and perfect for any kind of rider really. It also has metal core wheels (much stronger than plastic cores), and a sick color scheme.

LOL = Lovely Old Ladies.

Talkin about me?

I don't mind, we r all gonna age. At least I can say I had a good time reaching maturity. Some of you young'uns may not have experienced frequent good times. I think its pretty boring for youngsters today, so many things are now banned in this country, you have to show ID every where you go unless you look like older than 25.

Anyway going well off the topic here, sorry.

A dialled scooter just means nothing wobbles or rattles, check out YouTube for what that looks/sounds like. I got a rup last year, and I still use the deck, which has not cracked at all unlike the other decks in my area.

Edit: rup means razor ultra pro.

this is what the son thinks

After taking all your advice I thought I'd go for the razor ultra pro black label, or this Dialed apple.... http://www.doggscooters.com/uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_49&products_id=1270,
I have heard the Razor decks are good...But, the son doesn't like the Razor,
So I think I'll go for the blunt....http://www.skatehut.co.uk/scooters/complete_scooters/product_slug_3048.htm

Hey that's weird, I've just found out what a DIaled scooter is after looking at the apple and then I read your post and you were kindly explaining.

I'll just add that I reckon that sons mates have probably rubbished a Razor cos son is saying the same, only reason he can give is he dislikes it is the clamp. Seems odd as most of you are going for the Razor, and shame for me cos they are less £££'s.

Hey Congo! Some kid who lives near me just got exactly the same set up today, it is very good, super smooth! Great buy.

Just get him one that he likes the look of, i mean he's not going to weight that much or anything so at this level probably best to just get something that he likes. =)

And yeah i ment thigh not calf. =o

But half way up your thigh is still pretty low, I just say that the bars should rest just underneath his balls.

Yeah, that's probably better, but you have more control and can jump higher with lower bars. Just don't go getting 20" wide bars if he's got 15" shoulders, like the people here...

Nononono don't buy your son a Razor scooter. This is not a good scooter at all. I don't even understand how some people would recommend an Ultra Pro over a complete Blunt.
It has metal cores
Flex fender brake
stronger deck
Stronger bars
more solid.
I can not come up with one part on the Razor which is better than any part on the Blunt Complete. Trust me. The Blunt complete would be the right for your son
Madd Gear scooters are way to heavy. And the Ultra pro isn't a nice ride. Blunt is the perfect scooter for him.

plus razor bars are probably stronger than blunt as the blunt ones seem to have broken but i think there were a few razor defects i think. also rup is way cheaper + hes a begginer and new parts can be bought when he improves and black label do have metal cores.
