What should I do?

Howdy.

Just recently I haven't been enjoying riding as much as I used to with my friends, I know it isn't that I'm not enjoying riding a scooter, I love doing it, it's that my friends aren't interested in how I like to ride (street/tech) they're all into park and I'm not progressing as much as I'd like to in street plus I've just been going off them. As much as I'd like to ride street and progress I don't want to do it by myself as most of the street spots are in another town to where I am (not far just a bus ride) but I really don't want to go there and ride by myself. I've tried looking for good street riders in my area who I would want to ride with and could ride with [there aren't any] but even if there were just walking up to a random stranger who happens to be good on a scooter and saying 'Ride with me' isn't the most intelligent thing to do.
Everyone I know is a cunt.

Help please? + If any UK riders who knew of anyone who was interested in street in the Birmingham area who isn't a dick it would be appreciated.

Pfft, not where I live, everyone just hangs around the skatepark and talks. Possibly if I went to Walsall, well, definitely but most of the BMXers and Skaters have no respect for me/us. I know a couple who don't mind me but yeah.

yea man you should try and get used to riding by yourself, i honestly like it alot more i can go anywhere, anytime but maybe thats just me i grew up skateboarding by myself and with adhd and no pets or siblings, i had an urge to always be outside and half the time everybody in my naborhood were at school since they were mostly younger than me so i guess im so used to riding alone its enjoyable to me, but who ever is your closest friend next time you guys ride street try and make it differant and more enjoyable because if it becomes enjoyable to them then they will start to ride street more.. i feel like this is shitty advice but its all i can really think of man

Well ive been in your situation and it wasn't fun, you could try to motivate your friends to ride street by showing them some sick street vids (depends on they're park style and how they could integrate that into street) look up some sick vids, i get alot of my motivation from "Remi Bouchard" who does street and park (much like i do now). If the motivation thing doesn't work for you than just ride on your own, ive found that i can progress more and focus more on learning/doing new stuff if im riding by myself, just ride everywhere and you might come across someone who's doing the streets.
Hope this helped.

Yeah, I've been in this situation until one time I was riding on my own and some bikers turned up at the same spot. I still ride alone a bit, but on weekends I ride with them.

In fact, thinking about it, I do learn a lot more when I'm by myself, it's just that I get a little scared when going around Walsall by myself.

Yeah, I see where you are coming from but alone you get into less trouble. I find that I'm less likely to try something stupid and hurt myself, and I get kicked off spots much less often
