Sliders break a hell of a lot more then Vertx's.

They will all chip/break eventually, how quickly depends on how and where you ride.

If your going to get eagles then you should be fine. They are very fast and I've never seen a non-defective one de-hub fully, but they chunk and ovalise quite quickly.
