Whats an integrated headset?

What is the difference from a threaded or threadless headset, compared to an integrated headset, also can you run threadless forks with an integrated headset? What are the pros and cons of having them? Please help, thanks guys

Threaded and threadless don't have anything to do with integrated. It refers to the fork. A threadless fork takes a threadless headset, and a threaded one takes a threaded headset. Integrated simply means the bearing cups are combined with the headtube, meaning you don't have to press the cups in (like you would in a standard headset).

Integrated headsets are designed for threadless forks. Also, they are easier to maintain and put together, and aren't a hassle to change.

a threaded headset means that you use a locknut to compress your headset. you need a threaded fork for this. and a threaded headset.

a threadless headset means your fork has no threads on it. and you must use some form of compression(SCS, HIC, ICS) to compress your headset.

an integrated headset is used on decks with an integrated headtube. this means that no cups have to be pressed into the headtube and that the bearings just sit in the headtube.

Standard and Integrated headsets basically function the same but integrated headsets are easier to maintain and can be a bit lighter.

you should research different websites to find out more

except the crown race part. Crown race is on the top like a crown on a head and the fork race is on the fork.

nope its called a crown race and its the lowest part of the headsets and is pressed onto the steerertube of the fork. there is no such thing as a fork race and there is no such thing as a forktube, also T stye bars are 2 piece bars not 1 piece bars. man i fucking hate all the stupid names you scooter riders come up with for things. makes our sport look like its just a bunch of noobs.

edit- and take that fucking link out of your sig, rules 1 and 2 ------.

threaded forks go with threaded headsets and standard clamps
threadless forks go with threadless headsets and compression clamps
integrated headsets go with integrated decks and any forks i believe (but if you get threadless forks u need compression, threaded forks- standard clamp
