pretty much everyone is serious but you.

once again, what happened to solid state? cheese forks, double torsion springs, quad clamps, a one piece deck, some other kind of fork, old a reinforcements... all that stuff.

It could happen. But I'm like, one of the only 2 people in my town that can lace a wheel. So fuck that :p

But really, if bigger forks and dropouts were made, it would definitely be doable. It would be weird riding 150mm wheels though, and you probably couldn't run lower pressure tires.

Maybe someday we'll get companies like Fly, Animal, KHE making tires for scooter wheels.

I have more to say, I've thought about this A LOT before, but yeah.

ya and have like Madera making special hubs
Profile you mean?
There's really no reason to have special hubs because a bmx style hub works the same thing as a normal scooter wheel and bearings.
And I just thought up something, sweet!

The concept is nice. But to make a wheel that skinny would need a weird valve and tube. And spokes on a scooter would be brilliant but leave room for buckling...

I'd love to see it though.

Get like a metal CORE, put a mini tube and tire on it, and drill a hole through the side of the core so that the tube nozzle can stick out so you can pump it up.

I've been thinking this for so many months now, almost a full year, and i really think we could get farther with scootering using tires and tubes. We could go on any terrain, and would'nt ever have to really worry about breaking and/or dehubbing them. If we break a part of the wheel, which is very unlikely to happen, we could just order a new part to it.

The full set of 2 wheels could easily cost like $60 bucks, and replacement parts could be

1 Tire: $5
1 tube $5
1 Wheel $25

I would definately go for that. We could even start designing wider dropouts and wider forks.
I think this change should really go through and happen.

i like the way you think =]]

my friend has an off road scooter its like the micro flew deck and it has wheels with proper tyres and and innertube you pump them up like a bmx . we took it to the skatepark and they wernt that bad, they were like 150 mm tho :p

I really think we should get 100 - 110 or 125 mm tire with treads on it for off road. That'd be soooo fun.

you know like that, but skinnier and smaller. I can see it being really difficult to pull off though

we can do this. no flat spots. or anything. and dirt riding! but they would have to be 110mm no less. 125mms would be the tits. i wanna do this
