So yeah i just found this 6 month old video, re-watched it, and realised how much more fun scootering was back then.

I wasn't doing all those crazy buttercups, i was just riding how i wanted. It was somuch better back then, nowadays i can't even find the motivation to ride. Do you guys have that kinda feeling towards scootering now? Or do you have those videos from way back when scootering was more fun to you? Or are you content now?

Post it up :)

.. This is my whole attitude towards riding.
I hardly ride anymore. Because its not fun.
Everyone rides to be the best. spin the scooter as much as possible, flip massive.
Its not fun for me anymore.

Do what tricks make you feel good. Just doing a huge tailwhip can be way more fun than trying to throw as many bar/whip combos into one flyout as you can.

well that was the peak of my riding.
i've only being going for 2 years, so anything in my first year was pretty sh-t.

but even everyone at my local park have turned all "wanting to be the best"
it's all about who can air higher, or who can whip faster, or who can get sponsored first.

Let's see some of your old vids!!

lol i look back 5-6 years ago, and those were the best times. fuck all these kids trying to be the best, man. just ride for fun, its the best thing you can do for yourself. i've been riding for fun for 9+ years, that's why i still love it.

well for me i just ride with friends all day long around town and at my house. personally i dont see how people quit when they have those skateparks and other people dont have shit but then agian thats just me. but i do see how scootin is way more fun when you start out because u get easly entertained by simple tricks like heres a old old vid of me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mG-br7-WulM

Don't quit riding. :D i hate that whole "go big or go home" and flips ftw style. Do the tricks you want and ride to your style. Just flow the shit.

i look back all the time. but think of it this way, a year from now youll be lokin back at today. so just enjoy every moment you ride, and ride how you want. i ride for fun. when i feel like throwin down on occasion i do, but most of the time i just chill and ride.

I totally agree with your point of saying ride how you want and be original, but I kind of disagree when you say "Oh,don't go big, just go around and do tiny tricks for fun."
It can be fun to do that stuff, but to some people, like me,it's more fun to push yourself and try hard things because the feeling when you finally land a hard trick is like no other.
So yeah, ride how you want, but if a person likes to push themselves when riding, don't criticize them for that because that's not your style.

oh, i'm not saying don't go big.
because i try to do my tricks better, but i'm trying to say that more people, especially where i'm from, have been doing way too many buttercups and inwards, it's like everyone just copies everyone else.

But it's not just that, it's also new riders' attitude towards riding, like how everyone wants to be better than everyone just so they can act top sh-t.
