Well, as some of you guys saw, I have my scooter parts all picked out...now comes the challenging part...building it. :eek: I was just wondering if there is a company or something that builds your own custom scooter for you? I know some websites do it, but parts of my custom scooter are from different sites..Like inward and scooterzone and blazin. I'm guessing I'm going to have to build it myself?

Most of it is pretty easy.. The only tough parts might be headset, compression and star nut. You can always check videos on youtube

Most things for building scooters are really straight foward once you get the general idea of how they work. If this is your first real scooter being built up, I suggest you learn about compression systems (http://www.scooterresource.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41300)
Aside from that, a few tricks to make it easier are:
Making a bearing press to put in bearings, as hammering them in destroys them (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghv3Jfrd-N4)
Keep in mind you always need spacers in the wheel.

Also, always remember to grease all your bolts before putting them in, as they might seize under some circumstances. This is especially important if you run a Proto SCS.

As far as the headset, if it's not integrated, I highly recommend you take it to a bike shop to get it installed.
For putting grips onto bars, I find the easiest method is spraying Axe in them, as it dries up really fast and leaves no throttle.

It also helps to build up your own scooter, that way if something is loose or not working correctly, you can easily go straight to that part instead of scratching your head trying to figure out what it could be and taking everything apart... And it saves time

if your gonna ride scooters, your gonna have to learn how to upgrade them and build them. its actually pretty simple.

It's pretty basic. Just tightening bolts. Your headset should come with a little paper that shows how to install it. Use youtube so you don't screw anything up.
