This definitely wasn't a bad Xgames, not the best though. Stoked we finally saw the frontflip landed in competition for the FMX guys though.
Bmx Vert was bull. Jamie just did the same run he's been winning with for the past 5 years. Steve and Vince both pulled out massive bangers (seriously, tuckno 900 and a triple whip for steve, and the 540 dub whip and 540 bar tuck air for vince) and didn't win.
Skate vert was even MORE bullshit though. You know you've got a messed up format/stupid and unaware judges when Bob Burnquist puts together a perfect run and doesn't qualify for the final group? Seriously, switch 360 OLLIES (no grab) both ways? Even by the end of the final heat Tony Hawk was saying how he was done trying to figure out what the judges were doing because it made no sense to him. How about we get rid of Shaun and PLG, and let Bob, Bucky, Sandro, Andy Mac, and Rune have a REAL vert contest? Shaun and PLG are like little scooter riders hucking their briflips and backflips all day long. no one cares

I agree it seems like the judges just base the scores off of how loud the crowd screams and how cool it looked. Although Shaun and PLG are still pretty damn good IMO. They're trying to bring more innovation than difficulty.

Travis Pastrana ate shit on a rodeo 720, broke his right ankle in a few places. Then they made hand controls for his rally car over night so he could still compete in rally. He's a madman. There was a 14 year old throwing down in Skate Big Air. He can do 900's on that massive quarter pipe but he didn't do one in the comp. In BMX vert someone landed a 900 tuck no, and another person landed a 540 double whip, both hella clean. Skate street was boring. The game of SK8 was pretty pathetic, they were just doing tricks that they knew the other person couldn't do instead of making it interesting. Garret Reynolds beasted on BMX street as usual. Good runs were thrown down in BMX park you should look some of them up on youtube.
They had a new event called Enduro-X which is basically trials for a motorcycle combined with racing. Lot's of shit was eaten. Especially in the first corner.
