Why threadless or threaded

Why do riders go through expensive compression systems and threadless headsets,forks. I want to go to threadless eventually but I don't understand the difference. It's also alot more cash. Why threadless???

threadless is stronger pooch. the threads on the fork make it break easier. u see ronch?

Threadless in some cases can be as cheap as threaded,

but the cons and pros of threadless is
Pros: Strong,Looks clean, more forks to choose from,different compressions to choose from.
Cons: Sometimes heavy (like my SenioR), a little pricy.

The cons and pros of threaded is
Pros: Cheap most of the time,Mostly liteweight.
Cons:Bend/break fast,not alot of forks to choose from (like threadless).
So overall i'd get threadless!

Anyway, I murder threaded forks.. and I've yet to break a single threadless fork.

Even if you're using ICS, threadless forks are always better than threaded.

Pros:
Hella stronger
Many to choose from
Won't break as fast as threaded
Don't need to thread anything on to it, annoying as hell.
Easy / faster to take apart/reinstall depending on compression of choice.

Cons:
Requires compression to be dialled
May be expensive, yet worth it in the long run

my friend claims he asked this question personally to jp from inward and he claims jp said that "threadless is very stupid and requires extra weight so just use a locknut and buy a threadless headset and it will be the same thing as a threadless fork." i have never believed a thing my friend said since.
