Will A Proto SCS Work With A Shim On Forks

is there anyway to make a proto scs fit with a bar sized shim on the forks, the only way i can think of is to stretch the proto clamp a bit to fit around the shim. i cant take the shim off as it is stuck and will not come off, but i would still like some ideas if you have any thanks.

nope it wont work, you have to get the shim off

Proto Scs requires a shim, slide the clamp on over your shim, put top cap on tighten then sit bars on top of ship bottom two bolts on shim top 2 on bars- no slits or it wont work

i rode 19.5 nipples with the stock slit in my scs and it worked perfect :/

What if I try to stretch the proto a little bit to fit over the forks

no it wont work, youll have to stretch it a ton cause it will mess up the clamp and make it oval.

idk who told you that a proto scs needs a shim. it only applies if the bars are 1 1/4"

brock, it isn't going to work. you shouldn't have a damn shim on your fork anyway.
