wtf is styyle??

i heart being able to flow and do really clean tricks, than to land everything sketch. flowing a line in a park, or carving a superbowl is 1000000000000000 times nicer than mad tech and sketch shit

I thought about this for a while, but couldnt really think ofa way to explain it.

Hmmm. I think its just when tricks look sick as hell. But i think goofy riders look like they have more style than regular riders. Any goofy riders feel the same about us regular footers? Just wondering.
yea whenever i see regular people it looks so weird cuz im goofy

Anyone that makes everything they do look like one fluid motion has got style. It can be in park or street whatever.

style is your on thing. its how you ride you dont have better style if you ride wider bars and you dont have less style if you ride smaller. style is how you feel yourself.

Kind of made it seem like Style is only done on ramps and in park. Which is wrong. Lots of people got bad ass style in street aswell.

When i look at riders I try to see which riders honestly look like their scooters are just a part of them. The riders that look really natural when riding, and dont look like theyre forcing anything when it comes to tricks or anything.
nailed it.... i also believe goofy foot has a better style, but it also seems that regs have more tricks.
ski is a big disgrace the sport.
and one last thing, tech has no style and should only be used in moderation,:D

i haven't noticed a difference in style in stances.

i think theres two types of style.

the first is what you look like when you ride. like it was said earlier, you can have bad style (sketch, too high/wide/small bars, etc), or good style (no parameters here). you can also have no style, meaning your riding isn't gross but not amazing either. if you have bad/no style, you can definitely learn to have good style (prime example: dylan).

and then riding style, which could be like flat/tech, big park, tech park, skate style, bmx park style, and more.

hahaha i was just about to say that.

i used to ride ski and my style hasn't changed one bit. I'm not saying my style is good, but i don't think it matters that much about your stance. riding ski does limit soe abilities due to foot placement but that often causes them to land in a regular or goofy stance.

my definition of style: how you work with your scooter. you don't have to have wide bars. wide bars makes your style look different, but it's your opinion whether you think it looks "better" or not. My definition of good style is: if you can just pick up your scooter and pretty much ride any terrain. In doing so, being able to "feel" what's beneath your feet, (whether it's air or the concrete) and make it your own.

Hit the nail on the head with that one.

Style: A distinctive manner of expression, a particular manner or technique by which something is done, created, or performed.

Flow: Continuity of movement. When energy is released freely, we describe the movement as free-flowing. Energy can also be released in a controlled, restrained manner.

Both are actual definitions and relate to the Style/Flow riding technique.
