well i think since they're both young yet, and at the top of their game, they'd rather not risk killing themselves on the mega ramp quite yet. most of the mega ramp riders are older, more experienced, and are probably kinda bored with regular comps.

anthony napolitan is the same age as me. he dropped in on a 60 ft rollin (4 times the size anyone on this forum has ever seen), then he went upside down, and spun 28lb bicycle frame 3 time around his bars. he then wrecked himself, going about 30mph, and got up smiling. he didn't win the contest, but he proved to me that he's a true rider and earned the respect of everyone that saw that.

while this was going on, mike spinner was sitting around bitching about the fact that he has nowhere to pull a 1080...
you don't see him winning comps constantly do you?

dhers wins :)

hawk didn't even qualify for finals, haha.

Bestwick won vert, i sooo wanted him to crash again so DMC could place, especially after his 9 :(

and pastrana didn't even make semis for speed and style. and a RACER won it lol, he couldn't even backflip.

hawk is still gnar at dirt
Nd yea i went and so did stan haha
superpark was gay its prettymuch a big bowl
but they still tore it up
diego conina with his like 10 foot flair damn
i was right behind it haha
ryan guetlar frontflip over volcano to spines owe my lanta
haha
all around pretty fucken crazy :]

How can you people say anything bad about superpark? Seriously it's one of the x games management best decisions. Now we have got the big air which makes up for both vert best trick and typical dew tour style 'best boxjump trick' park comp, and the superpark which shows who REALLY can ride bike. Ive never enjoyed watching anything as much as some of those guys just riding around. If stan is still there, someone bribe the security guards or something and make him ride the superpark course, haha, that would be crazy.

Speed and style is a joke though, it was good at winter x with snowmobiles but now it's just one lap best time and two jumps in the middle. Weak.

haha, i think superpark is one of the worst decisions. you don't see much progression on the megaramp, everyone does flip whips or flip tucks over the gap, then like flair whip or some other boring combo. whereas in a regular park contest, you see quad whips and 360 bar to whips and like manual to frontflips.

look at the park last year, i think thats perfect for the x-games, theres plenty of opportunity for big transfers and flow, and there were places where they could throw the big progressive tricks too. thats how it should be each year.

but it doesn't really matter because dhers or spinner or some other skills guy would win anyway.

i agree on speed and style though, but i thought it was funny that the two in the final couldn't do backflips and the racer won, haha.

Superpark was gay, the park was gay looking, and it was gay to watch. Skate vert was gnarly, PLG killed it, but Bucky has always been a fav of mine.

I agree with Pete on the Superpark, I think it's gnarly. It shows who can actually ride, not just do tricks over the same set up. I thought Chase Hawk and Gary Young had some of the best runs, just cause they actually rode the course in a different way then just looking for places to tailwhip. I was so over Dhers run when I was watching it, it was just tailwhips.

totally. at least guettler, who's got big tricks, had originality too. like the 1080 transfer and frontflips were real creative, even if he didn't land them at least he was trying something new. i was really impressed with rob darden and diogo canina too, they were both wrecking shit.

I think contests are jokes now. Dhers is going to win for a while. Yes he is good, but not much better than everybody else. I think the other riders don't really try after his first run. If he got hurt or something first run I bet all the other riders would really step up and actually try.

so its a joke because it showed how much more consistant dhers is? lol k

anyway, skateboard superpark was really good. i think the superpark course is perfect for skateboards. rune, andy, tony, and omar all had some craaazy stuff and they all deserved a gold haha

sandro dias is a beast...watching him in vert is so intense but its a shame he wasnt as consistent!!!

agreed. I wanted Dias to win vert soo badly but he couldnt put down a freaking solid run. He airs so much higher and smoother than the others, but he apparently isnt near as consistant. I love PLG- but his runs were just all repeated pretty much. Nothing fresh it felt like. Bucky surprised me. Not usually a big fan of him, but i really enjoyed watching his runs. etcetc.
