i gave up on the list...so much has changed on it... and the comps about to start... and by the way... we dont have a 3rd judge for intermediate yet.... (Dan Barret maybe??!) and we need an announcer (who is completely rad?)

I will probably judge but i need to see whos there to enter pro, and brian i think someone said miles isnt going any more

yeah the judging is taken care of.... but the announcing is another thing... i could do advanced maybe... because im judging best trick and entering intermediate... but im afraid that id accidently sware or something... and like all the old people look and OHHHHHHHHH! (gasp!)

None that im aware of.. although id definately want to be respectful when doing it. I would be pissed if i was in the middle of my run and got flashed in the eyes and couldnt see for a few seconds.....

(I learned form tic that begginner was a waste of tape and battery)
and someone will have to film my run and we will have the thing completely documented ill probobly have my camera in the middle of the park on a tripod

Well i told Alex i'll announce best trick because i dont think im doing anything, and if i do i just wont announce during my trick. I told him im gonna annouce intermediate too and just not announce during my run, but im gonna see if somone in pro will take that spot before during practice because it will be stupid. Somone announce pro now!

A few points id like to bring up so there is no confusion..

I thought each category had 3 winners?

best trick only has 1? I think we should do it so its the top 3 just the first place gets the most... just like intermediate and advanced.



And to get this straightened out, is there someone availble from Xtreme Wheels to take the judging papers, add up the scores, and then give them to the announcer?

We have 3 judges for each category. So each rider will have 3 sheets for each run they have. (so at least 9 sheets possibly 12 from each rider)... And they would be responsible for taking the judge sheets from the judges, adding up the scores, then averaging them to get that runs "score".... Then recording this score onto a different piece of paper so they can all be averaged later to give people their places (1st, 2nd, 3rd....) -- it will give announcer clean-cut sheet so they know what to announce.

And is the comp going to be set up:

Each rider gets 3 runs
lowest score tossed, remaining 2 averaged out to get final score.

(I think it would be a good idea for the top 5 people to have an extra run, and their score in the extra run is averaged into the 2 remaining from the qualifying.. from there determines top 3 in intermediate and advanced)

Best Trick- 3 tries to do best trick, and the top 3 best tricks are awarded with prizes and whatnot.... but they get worse as you go down (ex- 1st place $100, 2nd $50, 3rd $25.... and you get the idea)

And lastly, i thought the comp was in Jam format (2 riders at a time).... if its not its alright but i was just wondering how the music situation would work if there were 2 riders at the same time and wanted different songs and that...

-Best trick should have a winner a possibly a 2nd place winner, thats how tic was and is seemed right. Its the best trick not the best 3 tricks

-If you wanted to have the extra run for the top 5, you should cut it down to 2 runs a person, drop the lower score, top 5 get another run, but 3 runs a person and 2 scores count seems better.

-One rider at a time is sooo much better than 2 people, if one rider goes to one section of the park and the other goes to the other side its stupid, judges wont be watching them both at the same time. I thought that was a problem at TIC.

I can tweek the format using the suggestions you sent me. I will print out the format and put it on the sign in table so everyone knows how things are going to be done. I am quite excited that the comp is just a few days away. Hopefully we will have a nice turn out. Many people have worked hard to pull this together. If done well, this can become an annual event. Thank you to everyone who has helped, I could not have done this without you!
