I remember my friend who scoots who I used to ride with, said he was riding a Yak deck, or it may have just been the brake, is that true? Did they make decks or brakes?

I think Yak's first products were wheels and was awesome. They sold fast and were doing very well and decided to make other scooter parts and they planned to be like a scooter part company. Then , they have too much stuff to do and tried to do things fast and so the defected Yaks came.Did it fast and urethane not melted.There ya go!

yaks have been around forever, so that wouldnt make sense.

its not wheel company its just a scooter company that makes scooters.
O and the decks bend easy, my friend grinded a rail and it bent

the yaak folding mech won't hold up to constant pressure from riding.
the deck is very flimsy, so it'll take a bit to break. it WILL bend.
i've got nothing to say about the wheels. except they'ye some of the best on the market. (especially the new wheels!

i like the grips a lot. not really foam, really weird material.
brake is very, very good!
yaaks are like five bucks.
so, all in all, yaaks make good wheels. and until they individually market their grips, no reason to visit their site.
