Yamba's New Skatepark

Some of you may have ridden Yamba's old skatepark, the one that has coping sticking out everywhere, cracks, sketchy transitions and poor positioning of the ramps. Well that skatepark was going to be fixed up and improved on. But the company that was supposed to do this, announced it was too unsafe to ride and everything was demolished.

They have built a completely new park that looks quite pleasing. They have not rebuilt the bowl and this is what the park is, nothing else. The park is now open to ride.

If it wasn't for all this rain I would have ridden the park. I'm praying it's going to be good weather next weekend so I can ride it. I'm personally looking forward to riding the little hump section. That looks sick as.

What are your thoughts? Expect a video very soon from me at this park :)

ikr, both of my locals are metal and torn up, and the ramps are like 3 feet yet the hubbas are so high for the ramps, and all the people there are awful skaters who smoke weed and yell at you - also, the closest concrete park is like 35 minutes or so and is small, but fun, but gets repetitive

I rode it today and it is really nothing like I've ever ridden. It's really quite different. It is really awkward to ride for me.

Behind that quarter on the right in the last image is an awesome curb high ledge sorta thing with angle iron all the way around it. I can't wait to film a line at this skatepark. At the moment there has been millions of people there though.
