is their something wrong with someone supporting themselves?

No in fact that's awesome if you buy your own parts, but if you had parents willing to spend money on you, than I'm sure you'd take advantage of it, so don't make it sound like your so cool.

The problem is someone rubbing it in your face like they're better than you because of it.

actually i was just making a dig at some of the ungrateful shits on here that are getting like $800 worth of shit and act like it's nothing, if they had to earn that money they would sound a little different. sorry if i came off snoby/acting better then someone, deffinatly not my intention.

i dont have parents that support me with scootering at all, all of my parts minus one wheel have been bought by me. i have alot more respect for anyone who supports themselves financially especially at a younger age then those who exploit there parents wallets.

I understand completely, but that's why you just kind of let shit go lol. It really wasn't necessary to point out that you're buying it yourself. Only thing I got for Christmas last year was 2 T-shirts from my grandparents and an iPod Nano that I bought for myself. I didn't come in here and say that though, because it just makes you seem like you're trying to get sympathy or you have a superiority complex. Awesomely enough, the iPod just got stolen out of my car like 2 weeks ago too lol.

Yeah, my good friend Tyler (if you look in the Riding Pictures thread for one of my older posts, he's the one doing the fs heel air) was nice enough to give me his, which is the exact one I had but a different color. Merry Christmas to me :)

Ok nice lol, if your parents did support you then I'm sure you'd let them buy you stuff, which has absolutely nothing to do with "exploiting" their wallet. But that doesnt mean you have to make yourself sound way better than me because they don't.

theres a difference between being content with what you have and only asking for parts when you need them instead of wanting new parts once a month
